Macroseism
Digital Photography, Creative Retouching
This project was created years ago now. I didn’t have a high quality digital camera, and not one that was small enough to come with me on my bike. So, on my cheap, little Nikon Coolpix, I started shooting hundreds of images of each scene. Note: This practice has become the base workflow for photogrammetry and 3d models of today. Then I would carefully digitally sew my scene together, creating images that could be printed at large scale.
They are more like paintings and I could intentionally leave my brushstrokes. Re-building these buildings brick by brick, piece by piece, their strength starts to sway in space, like trees in the wind.
